Rants From The Black Lodge Podcast released the YouTube video version of its 2023 sixth anniversary show titled “Reign in Blood: A Carrie Retrospective” on July 1. Host Brandon A. Lane and his sidekick Fat Tony take an irreverent but substantive deep dive into the 1976 film adaptation of Stephen King’s debut novel.
Hopefully, the video upload is a signal for more from the cult film retro podcast as Rants From The Black Lodge has been on hiatus since airing its last original show on April 1. However, the podcast’s seventh anniversary arrives August 1 and brings with it the possibility of a new show.
“We’re still on hiatus for Rants From The Black Lodge, but we will be back hopefully by August to celebrate our seven-year anniversary,” Lane tells lionelraygreen.com. “As for upcoming episodes, we have plans to do the Charles Bronson horror action movie 10 to Midnight and Friday the 13th: Part VII. Nothing else is set in stone just yet.”
That’s good news for fans of the show known as the Rant Army. Along with its podcast, Rants From The Black Lodge has produced two full-color horror magazines available in print and digital. Email rantarmy@icloud.com to order print versions.
