Sarah Rose Etter earns top honor at 2019 Shirley Jackson Awards

Sarah Rose Etter‘s debut novel, The Book of X, won the top honor at the 2019 Shirley Jackson Awards. The winners were announced July 12th in a 20-minute pre-recorded video released by the Shirley Jackson Awards.

The winners in the other five categories were:

  • NOVELLA: Ormeshadow by Priya Sharma; 
  • NOVELETTE: Luminous Body by Brooke Warra;
  • SHORT FICTION: “Kali_Na” by Indrapramit Das in the anthology, The Mythic Dream;
  • SINGLE-AUTHOR COLLECTION: Song for the Unraveling of the World by Brian Evenson; and
  • EDITED ANTHOLOGY: The Twisted Book of Shadows edited by Christopher Golden and James A. Moore.
